Magellan has developed an SQL assessment and capital planning software application called M•A•P•P•S™ (Magellan Assessment and Project Planning System) that is designed specifically for facility assessments and master planning.

Only Magellan offers a software tool that incorporates a standards-based educational adequacy component in conjunction with a room-by-room building condition assessment and a robust, fixed-asset tracking capability. We’ve transferred the intellectual capital gained from the assessment of thousands of facilities into the software package, which now supports close to 500 million square feet of facility space.

M•A•P•P•S™ is a comprehensive client-server package that is centered on the notion of identifying and managing the overall facility portfolio rather than merely tracking and bundling deficiencies. The resulting functionality enables our clients to manage the entire facility portfolio.

M•A•P•P•S™ provides the information necessary to:

• View a comprehensive Space Inventory of all linked room uses in the facility portfolio.
• Identify Facility Deficiencies, sorted by priority, building system, CSI division, or educational adequacy category.
• Identify Educational Adequacy deficiencies by category, with a full description and estimate.
• Develop Cost Estimates using an internal RSMeans^® cost support database.
• Rank and Prioritize sites and facilities using an expanded Facility Condition Index to contrast replacement value and the impact of additions.
• Use the building FCI to target candidates for Building Replacement.
• Forecast Long-Range Capital Renewal need based on building systems, subsystems, and type.
• Build multiple Implementation Projects with the deficiency finder, then save projects to multiple “what if” scenarios with cash flow information.
• Manage Work Completed and work in progress for updated assessment status.
